IAN

GALE

Born and raised in Australia, Ian began his career in construction, working on building sites while studying mechanical engineering at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Australia.

He has called Steamboat and the Yampa Valley home since 2000.

Before 87 West,  Ian owned and operated Skyline Construction in 2005 and ran this until a brief stint as a building inspector in Melbourne, Australia. Before that, he served as general manager at Ski Country Kitchens in town and even worked at the resort as a lift supervisor as a young 20-something.

Ian thrives in the mountains where he was a former mountain bike racer, rips on Teles,  He's a certified bike and ski coach, surfs the holes in the Yampa, and bombs in a kayak.

Ian lives in Steamboat with his wife Lauran and two children.

MARK

STEPP

If you like skiing, jam bands, and craftsmanship look no further than Mark. Originally from Western PA, he has lived in the Yampa Valley since 2005.  Mark can’t remember a time when he wasn’t building but has been a licensed contractor since 2015.

JOSH BUDLER

Josh hails from sunny Florida. A CU grad, he moved to Steamboat in 2018. Josh is rarely without his dog-in-crime, Toby.  He has been a licensed contractor for 5 years, and can ‘found’ deep in the woods hunting as often as possible.
